About the Valley Jazz Festival

The Valley Jazz Festival was founded in 2004 by Jazz Queensland - a small group of volunteers who share a love of jazz and a commitment to live music in Brisbane.

This multi-venue event cements Fortitude Valley as the hub of live entertainment in Brisbane by showcasing the most compelling and innovative accomplishments in jazz and creative improvised music.

With around 40 acts over 6 days, we support local and emerging talent and provide a platform for presenting national and international artists.

At the same time, we have maintained our commitment to the community through affordable ticket prices and free events.

Jazz Queensland was created in 1990 and is a peak non-profit association dedicated to promoting jazz music throughout Queensland.

We do this by profiling and supporting local artists, encouraging the development of orginal jazz compositions and presenting live jazz music events.

As well as the annual Valley Jazz Festival we present the popular JazzMix@Ric's and Jazz Singers Jam Night throughout the year.
