Brisbane's premier music precinct Fortitude Valley, will re-ignite with the return of the Valley Jazz Festival from Tues 12th - Sun 17th May 2009.
In it's 4th production, this multi-venue event remains Brisbane's only
major jazz festival, critically focused on jazz as an art form, by showcasing the most compelling and innovative
accomplishments in jazz and creative improvised music, presented in over 16 live music venues.
The Valley Jazz Festival 2009 will headline national and internationally acclaimed Jazz Acts, supported by over 50, cutting-edge, Local Jazz acts.
The Valley Jazz Festival 2009 will also present a live music stage
and Merchandise stall at the Valley Markets, Gala Festival Dinner. numerous artists workshops at the Brisbane Jazz Club and the popular, nightly VJF after party and Jam sessions.

Jazz Qld are now inviting Artists Applications untill the 30th September.
Artistic Director Andrew Shaw will once again maintain a high quality of programming via an extensive selection process and this year artists applications can be conveniently submited online via Jazz Qld's new artists application system
